What is Intentional Electro?
Intentional Electro is a movement and a quality standard for electronic dance music. It identifies music
that was made with — and transmits — intention: music that knows what it's doing and moves you effortlessly,
emotionally, and energetically.
It is not a genre. Techno, house, downtempo, psytrance, ambient, or beyond — if it moves
with meaning, it belongs. Read the full definition.
Is this a DJ project, a label, or a movement?
All three — in that order of depth.
• There is DĴ Intentional Electro (Samuel L. Rose) as a selector and curator.
• There are curated tracks and sets on SoundCloud.
• And there is the larger movement: the Manifesto, the Seal, the Jury, and proposals
for festivals (Stage Concierge, Signal Code, Emotional Slot Labels).
Is this a spiritual project?
The tone is spirited, but not esoteric. We don't preach. We pay attention to what music actually does —
to bodies, hearts, rooms, collective fields. If that language resonates, welcome. If it doesn't,
the music will still do the work.
Who started this?
Samuel L. Rose. He discovered electronic music at 42 at AfricaBurn, went to 40+ festivals in 3 years,
and realised the music was the problem, not him. Read the founder's story.
The Music

Why is "Welcome Travelers" important?
"Welcome Travelers" is the sonic demonstration of the Manifesto — the musical proof that
Intentional Electro is real. Samuel collected the best A++ tracks, hired a Ukrainian sound engineer, mixed them
into one journey — and watched people feel it every time. It's the set that gave him the confidence to say:
"it's not me, it's the music."
Currently on SoundCloud: one reference set called Welcome Travelers, plus two audio versions of the manifesto — the Manifesto Track
(spoken word with music), and the Vocals Only version for DJs to overlay.
Because quality over speed. Every release must carry real intention or it doesn't ship. The catalog will grow slowly.

Can I use the Manifesto Track in my own set?
Yes. The Vocals-Only version exists specifically so DĴs can overlay it during their own sets.

Festivals
Festival collaboration and curation.
What kinds of festivals fit this project?
Festivals where the dancefloor is treated as a meaningful space. Boutique festivals with curation integrity, conscious dance communities, listening rooms and ceremonial arcs where the goal is nourishment, not just entertainment.
Can festivals get free curation help?
Yes — we consult line-ups, help with emotional slot labeling, suggest DĴs, and co-create rituals for musical integrity.

What is the Stage Concierge?
A trusted presence at the booth during a set. Their job: watch the crowd with care, read the energy,
and signal the DĴ when a shift might be needed. A bridge between floor and booth.

What is the Signal Code?
A simple, nonverbal language between dancers and the booth — so the floor can say "we're in resonance"
or "this isn't landing, please adjust" without killing the vibe.
The Signal Code is not yet fully defined — each festival defines its own. We propose two approaches:
· Body Language — a shared gesture, e.g. turning the back to the DJ for 5–10 seconds means "we're not resonating." Taught at entry, part of the culture.
· The Signal Band — a simple wristband that lights up (red / green) or can be flipped inside-out. Dancers express resonance or its absence; the Stage Concierge reads the room at a glance.

Joining & Signing
Becoming part of it.
Is there a written manifesto?
Yes. The full Manifesto is available in text, spoken word, audio track (with music),
and vocals-only format. The homepage shows only an excerpt — the full version is a separate page.
How can I join the movement?
Four main paths:
1. Sign the Manifesto — a vow, not a formality.
2. DJs — adopt the DĴ symbol.
3. Listeners — apply to the Jury.
4. Anyone — sign up as supporter, no commitment required.
What does "getting certified" mean?
Beyond signing, you can apply for the Intentional Seal as a DĴ, Producer or Festival.
Your work is vetted by the jury; if it passes, you receive a public mark you can use on releases, posters, press kits and stage flags. Renewed annually.
Do I have to be a DJ to join?
No. The movement is for everyone who feels the difference — dancers, producers, festival organisers,
press, journalists, labels, artists, and anyone who ever stood on a dancefloor and thought "this isn't reaching me."
Is signing the Manifesto public or private?
Your choice. You decide at signup whether your name appears on the public signatories list or stays private.
Either way, we never share your data or sell your email.
